Elsa delivered Behaviour, Belonging and the Pipeline We Don’t Talk About, exploring how behaviour is too often treated as defiance rather than communication of an unmet need. Drawing on neurodiversity, executive functioning and nervous-system regulation, Elsa challenged punitive approaches that can drive exclusion and disengagement. Her talk called for system change rooted in relationships, safety, belonging and early support, with children and young people placed firmly at the centre.
